This morning as I was drinking my coffee, I watched a program on my local news channel about a gentleman you has, for the past few years given away hundreds of thousands of dollars to unsuspecting people around the country. He is known as the 'Secret Santa',
Now if you Google the term Secret Santa you will find numerous websites and articles on this topic. The news feature did not give a name and blurred out the face, so I am not quite sure who it was, but then again, it really does not matter. What matters is that someone is making a difference and giving hope to others who need it.
The Christmas season is a time of joy for many of us. It hearkens times of laughter, times of family, the smell of gingerbread and little ones opening presents. Many of us either forget, or in some cases choose to forget those who are cold, hungry, lonely and/or depressed. Many lose all hope this time of year and that is simply heart breaking.
Not everyone has pockets such as the man featured, but you don't have to. While he may be giving out $50 here or $100 dollars there - every little bit helps. Angel Trees, Salvation Army, giving $20 to an elderly gentleman, stopping by a local Nursing home to wish those who may not get to see family a Merry Christmas - there is SO much that we all can do.
This Christmas season, with so many that are suffering, while you count your blessings, and share with your family and loved ones, take time to show an act of kindness to a complete stranger. Your reward will be more than you could ever imagine.
